ACTIVITY/COMMUNITY NEWS:
If you have medication in the attendance office, your parent will need to pick it up by June 6th. Any medication left after that will be thrown away.

Cardinals for Christ would like to say thank you once again to all you helped with the pop tabs. Each year you have helped us increase our amount. Last year we collected about 175,000 pop tabs. This year we have collected about 203,000 pop tabs with more coming in. I know the children on dialysis at Akron Children's Hospital appreciate your donation. We plan on collecting them again next year so please continue to save and increase our amount!

There are a few extra junior high yearbooks for sale. You may purchase one for $15 from Mrs. Klingensmith in room 207.

GUIDANCE:
High school sophomores and juniors, be sure to check the SV website for some new class offerings for next year. These will be college credit classes offered here at Sandy Valley. Course descriptions will be available soon.

SPORTS NEWS:
Sandy Valley softball team finished their season with a win, beating Garaway 2-0. Alyssa L. pitched a no-hitter with nine strikeouts. Sam P., Danielle G. and Kelli M. each contributed singles and Shaynna J. had a double. The Cards ended up 25-5, which ties the school record for the most wins a season! Congrats, Lady Cards, on an amazing season!

Attention all baseball players: All equipment including uniforms, pullovers, belts, school issued equipment and handbooks are to be turned in ASAP. No awards will be given at the banquet to anyone who has not turned in their uniform and/or equipment.

There will be boys’ golf sign ups for boys currently in grades 9 through 11 outside of room 208. Tryouts will begin at 6am on August 4th at Wilkshire Golf Course. Due to numbers, cuts will be made by August 6th.

Any girls that are interested in trying out for junior high and high school cheerleading, tryouts will be held on June 2, 3 and 4 from 1-3pm. If you have any questions or concerns call Coach Tozzi.

Attention all gymnasts, please bring in cleaned uniforms and gym warm ups in a bag with your name on it. Put them into the cheer closet in the morning when they come in. Any junior or senor high school student interested in gymnastics, please sign up in the high school office.

All wrestlers, grades 7-11, going to Claymont need to get forms to Coach Groff by the end of school next week. See Coach Groff for forms for the Michigan Camp that will be at Canton South the 2nd week after school is over.

The 2008 SV Spring Awards night is tonight!! Drinks and snacks will be served beginning at 5:45pm with the main program starting at 6pm in the HS Auditorium.
