Senior of the month for April: Justin B.

Return
Justin as a baby

Justin B., the senior of the month for May, is involved in concert, pep, and marching band, as well as track, science club, and National Honor Society. He says that the most significant class he's taken has been band, because he's met a lot of people and made many friends through his participation. Justin is also really into videos and video games. "I like to edit videos and play video games, and sometimes I combine these two hobbies and create machinima, which is making videos using a pre-rendered game engine to render all of the video."

Some of his most significant experiences have been after-school video game sessions before all of the football games. "We have a lot of fun just sitting there in front of TV screens playing games," he says. Justin plans to make his hobby a career by going to Shawnee State University to major in Game Design and Simulation (video game design).

Justin B

Justin considers loyalty, kindness, and respect as the most important qualities for people to have. He admires his classmate John F. for his determination in everything he does and for the fact that he "has time to practice guitar and become great at guitar while still doing very well in school."

Justin advises underclassmen to "not procrastinate and make sure that you do all of your work." He has learned the benefit of hard work, since he's been consistently on the honor roll and will graduate soon as valedictorian of Sandy Valley's Class of '08. Not only does he work hard in the classroom, he also finds ways to be productive in study hall. One time he got so bored that he filled two sides of one piece of notebook paper with about 20,000 stick people.
